Overview of the Position

The IT Infrastructure and Network Lead will manage and optimize the company’s technology infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in network management, IT support systems, cloud platforms, and infrastructure architecture. You will lead a team responsible for ensuring the security, availability, and reliability of the organization’s IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Network Management:
•    Oversee and manage the company’s network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, MPLS, VPNs, firewalls, routers, and switches).
•    Ensure network performance, security, and uptime, troubleshooting network issues as they arise.
•    Implement and manage network monitoring tools to track performance and detect any irregularities.


Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
•    Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s IT infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and optimal performance.
•    Collaborate with IT teams to develop and deploy new hardware and software solutions.
•    Team Leadership & Collaboration:
•    Lead, mentor, and train a team of infrastructure engineers and network administrators.
•    Work cross-functionally with other teams (security, development, etc.) to align infrastructure with business goals.


Cloud Infrastructure and Virtualization:
•    Oversee the company’s cloud services and ensure they are optimized, scalable, and cost-effective.
•    Implement and manage virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) for server efficiency and availability.


Security and Compliance:
•    Enforce best practices for securing IT infrastructure and network systems.
•    Collaborate with the security team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).


Troubleshooting and Support:
•    Provide escalated support for complex infrastructure and network issues.
•    Troubleshoot and resolve incidents related to network performance, downtime, or other IT-related problems.


Documentation and Reporting:
•    Maintain up-to-date network and infrastructure documentation.
•    Prepare and present regular reports on system performance, uptime, and potential improvements.


Project Management:
•    Lead infrastructure and network-related projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and specifications are met.
•    Work with vendors and manage contracts related to infrastructure and network services. 
 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and network management.
  • Strong experience with network design, management, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
  • Knowledge of network security practices and tools (SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS).
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Experience with project management, ideally in an IT context.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Skills

  • Certifications such as CCNP, CISSP, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or other relevant qualifications.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Power Apps is an asset
  • Experience with data center operations and server management.
  • Familiarity with Fortigate and Aryaka appliance is highly desired.
