The Leidos Digital Modernization Strategic Technology and Transition Team has an exciting opportunity for an intern looking join our team of Cyber Security Developers. As part of the team, you will support our corporate Internal Research and Development portfolio and learn how to assess and mitigate various cybersecurity risks while developing your skills and understanding in the policies and tools that drive cybersecurity. This is a great opportunity to both learn and have an impact in our Digital Modernization Sector and Office of Technology at Leidos.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Help to implement federal cybersecurity policy at a functional level

  • Application testing

  • Contribute to our cybersecurity tool integration and enhancement processes

  • Collaborate with the IRAD Project Principal Investigator to develop and prioritize a work backlog and work to achieve tasks and close tickets

  • Help develop communication materials that will be shared with key stakeholders

  • Grow your own understanding of cybersecurity tools and how they integrate into customer environments

  • Contribute to a team of developers working on cybersecurity tools

Basic Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, math, or related field from an accredited university.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact with diverse teams and external partners

  • A keen interest in digital modernization, cybersecurity, the intersection of cutting-edge technology with cybersecurity, partnership management, and business development

  • U.S. Citizenship is required

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3.0 GPA or higher

  • Experience working in team-oriented environments

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

  • Minor development skills in Python or closely related rapid-prototyping computer languages

  • An understanding of IT related technologies such as computer networking, containerization, web-servers

Pay Range:

Pay Range $46,800.00 - $84,600.00
