The candidate will be integrated in a team of security engineers, network engineers and technicians, working on several project focused on engineering Ground Segments for satellite communication systems. The activity includes:

• Design, development, integration and validation of Network & Cyber Security architectures for new projects.
• Specialist support, during maintenance phases, for troubleshooting Network & Cyber Security equipment.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

• Perform the analysis and consolidation of requirements concerning the Cyber Security architecture of Ground Segments for satellite communication systems.
• Contribute to design, development, implementation, deployment, and test of a Cyber Security architecture.
• Define Cyber Security System Management processes, configuration, and procedures.
• Scan the critical assets of the Ground Segments’ infrastructures and identify weaknesses and vulnerabilities with regard to intrusions or cyber-attacks.
• Producing documentation such as project slides, test procedures, analysis reports, drafting processes and procedures

Technical skills and attributes:

• Knowledge of data communications systems (Wired, Satellite, Radio/Mobile).
• Knowledge of information security management standards and best practices.
• Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems and databases (SQL, Oracle).
• Knowledge of virtual environments (VMWare, KVM, Hyper-V).
• Knowledge of microservices architectures with containers.
• Knowledge of cyber-attack techniques and their countermeasures within the security engineering framework.
• Familiarity with security standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, STIG and GDPR.
• Knowledge of security technologies and products (such as SIEM, Log Management and Tools Analysis, endpoint security tools, forensic tools, Network and Security Management Tools).
• Availability to work in defense/military project.
• Availability to be subjected to Security Clearance process.
• Availability to move outside the place of work for meetings and installations (Italy and Abroad).
• Communication and negotiation skills.
• Capability of team working with sharing competence, activity and goals.
• Considered as a plus:
  • Knowledge of firewalls, IPS/IDS, VPN, NAC, Web Application Firewalls.
  • Previous experience in managing and deploying security solutions and configuration in large and distributed ICT environments;
  • Good experience in the Cybersecurity domain, gained in security services companies, system integrators, vendors, or telecommunication companies.

  • Speaking: B1/B2
  • Writing: B1/B2

Qualifications: Degree in computer engineering or telecommunication engineering or similar or Technical Superior Study in technical/scientific area. Preferred experience in Computer and information technologies.

Experience: 1/3 years at least
