Aker Systems is seeking an ISO Quality and Compliance Manager to lead and support the company’s efforts in achieving and maintaining ISO 9001 (Quality Management), ISO 14001 (Environmental Management), and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 (IT Service Management) certifications.

Additionally, this role will oversee the ongoing maintenance and compliance of ISO 27001 (Information Security Management System – ISMS) to ensure Aker continues to meet industry best practices for data security and risk management.

This role will be responsible for developing, implementing, and continuously improving compliance frameworks, policies, and internal audit processes to ensure the highest operational standards are met. The successful candidate will work cross-functionally to embed a culture of quality, sustainability, and service excellence across the organisation.

Duties & Responsibilities

1. ISO Certification & Compliance Management

• Lead the implementation and certification process for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018.
• Develop, maintain, and improve quality management systems (QMS), environmental management systems (EMS), and IT service management systems (ITSMS) in alignment with these standards.
• Ensure the business meets all regulatory and ISO certification requirements, preparing for and coordinating internal and external audits.
• Work closely with leadership and operational teams to integrate ISO compliance into daily business operations.
• Monitor industry best practices and regulatory changes, ensuring Aker remains compliant with evolving standards.
• Work alongside the Security Officer to ensure ISO 27001 compliance is kept up to date and co-ordinate the annual maintenance plans.

1. Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

• Drive a culture of continuous improvement, identifying areas for efficiency and effectiveness enhancements in line with ISO principles.
• Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track compliance and quality performance.
• Implement and maintain documented policies, procedures, and work instructions to support operational excellence.
• Conduct gap analysis and risk assessments to identify areas for improvement before audits.

1. Environmental & Sustainability Management (ISO 14001)

• Oversee the implementation of an environmental management system (EMS) in line with ISO 14001.
• Develop and promote sustainability initiatives, including waste management, carbon footprint reduction, and regulatory compliance for environmental standards.
• Work with internal teams to embed environmental best practices in operations and supply chain management.

1. Supplier & IT Service Management Compliance (ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018)

• Support supplier compliance with ISO 20000-1 IT service management requirements.
• Ensure supplier contracts, service level agreements (SLAs), and procurement processes align with IT service management best practices.
• Collaborate with procurement and IT teams to ensure service quality, reliability, and compliance.

1. Training & Awareness

• Develop and deliver training programs to ensure employees understand their roles in quality, environmental, and IT service compliance.
• Organize ISO awareness campaigns and workshops to build a strong compliance culture.
• Provide ongoing support and guidance to teams, ensuring ISO processes are embedded across all functions.

Essential Experience & Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality Management, Compliance, Business Administration, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ISO compliance, quality assurance, or regulatory compliance.
• Proven track record in leading ISO 9001, ISO 14001, or ISO/IEC 20000-1:2018 certification projects.
• Strong experience in internal audits, process improvement, and compliance frameworks.
• Excellent ability to interpret ISO standards and operationalize compliance requirements.

• Ensuring precision in ISO compliance and quality management.
• Identifying risks and implementing effective solutions.
• Leading certification efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Engaging with internal and external stakeholders.
• Keeping pace with evolving ISO and industry standards.

Preferred Experience

• Certifications such as ISO Lead Auditor (9001, 14001, 20000-1) or Six Sigma.
• Experience in supplier and IT service management compliance.
• Strong knowledge of environmental sustainability programs and initiatives.
