EY- Cyber Security – Technology Consulting – Network Infrastructure Security –

As part of our EY Cyber Security team, you shall be responsible for defining, solutioning, integrating, and implementing innovative solutions which will enhance our service delivery quality, as well as help us strategically elevate technology driven transformation for our clients. You’ll also help to create a positive learning culture, coach and counsel junior team members and help them to develop.

The opportunity

We’re looking for an Network Security NAC professional with solution mindset and hands on security engineering expertise in network security concepts, risk and controls concepts, architecture design. Your key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of Azure and SimpliVity environments to evaluate usage, performance, and efficiency.
• Identify gaps in configuration, security, and resource utilization, providing detailed recommendations for optimization.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance the integration and interoperability of Azure and SimpliVity within the IT infrastructure.
• Ensure alignment of cloud and HCI solutions with business goals, industry best practices, and security standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to drive improvements and remediate deficiencies.
• Provide detailed reports, documentation, and presentations outlining findings, recommendations, and roadmaps for implementation.
• Monitor and analyse system performance metrics to enhance availability, scalability, and resilience.
• Assist in designing and executing cloud migration and workload optimization strategies.
• Stay up to date with evolving Azure and SimpliVity capabilities, ensuring best-in-class technology adoption.
• Train and support internal teams on Azure and SimpliVity best practices.

Skills and attributes for success

• Expertise in Microsoft Azure services, including IaaS, PaaS, security, networking, and cost management.
• Hands-on experience with HPE SimpliVity solutions, including deployment, management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess gaps and recommend effective solutions.
• Deep understanding of cloud governance, compliance, and security best practices.
• Experience with automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform, ARM templates).
• Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies for Azure and SimpliVity.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to convey technical findings to business leaders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to completion.

To qualify for the role, you must have

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud computing, IT infrastructure, or hyper-converged systems.
• ndustry certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or HPE SimpliVity certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience in assessing and optimizing enterprise-scale Azure and SimpliVity environments.
• Familiarity with DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud-native architectures is an advantage.

Ideally, you’ll also have

• Good soft skills i.e. verbal & written communication, technical document writing etc
• Strong project management, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
• Prior experience working in Advisory or Technology Consulting industry.
• Customer orientation skills
• CCNA, Vendor specific certifications (in Azure and HPE SimpliVity)
