As a Junior Cyber Underwriter, you will play a key role in assessing and managing cyber risks for clients across the Nordic region while gaining hands-on experience in underwriting and risk analysis.

This position is based in our Copenhagen office and serves clients across Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.

As a Junior Cyber Underwriter, you will support cyber underwriting activities across the Nordics and contribute to business growth. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assessing cyber risks and analyzing security, financial, and operational data to support underwriting decisions.
Structuring and pricing cyber insurance policies, ensuring alignment with AIG’s strategy and risk appetite.
Building relationships with brokers and clients, positioning AIG as a trusted cyber risk partner.
Negotiating and tailoring insurance solutions to meet specific client needs.
Collaborating with internal teams, including legal, claims, and risk specialists, to provide comprehensive solutions.
Monitoring market trends and regulatory developments to refine underwriting strategies.
Supporting business development efforts by presenting AIG’s cyber insurance solutions to brokers and clients.
We are looking for candidates who bring a combination of analytical ability, commercial mindset, and technical curiosity. To thrive in this role, you should have:
A degree in IT, cybersecurity, economics, law, business, or a related field.
Fluency in English and Danish (additional Nordic languages are an advantage).
An analytical and structured approach, with the ability to assess complex risks.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
A commercial mindset, with an understanding of how to present AIG’s cyber offerings effectively.
A keen interest in cyber risks and emerging digital threats.
While underwriting experience is not required, a background in IT security, risk management, or financial analysis will be beneficial in understanding cyber threats and their implications for businesses.
