The person in this role will lead and manage all aspects the cybersecurity program supporting Special Access Programs (SAPs) portion for the Military Engines (ME) portfolio in compliance with applicable U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) laws and regulations.  Lead, manage, and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals in the execution of the cybersecurity program. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage the execution of the cybersecurity program governing a subset of the Military Engines portfolio of programs in compliance with applicable U.S. government laws, regulations and policies.

  • Manage a team of experienced cybersecurity professionals who are responsible for the day-to-day cybersecurity compliance program management, monitoring and auditing.

  • Develop, implement and update policies, plans, procedures, and standards that apply to all information systems within the enclave.

  • Effectively counsel, coordinate and liaison with U.S. government officials, internal Pratt customers, and other 3rd parties as required on matters associated with government cybersecurity compliance.

  • Perform the duties and responsibilities associated with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) role on an as needed basis.

  • Mentor subordinate team members on professional development, performance and competencies.

  • Monitor, participate and/or lead projects involving classified information technology implementations and/or upgrades from a cybersecurity compliance perspective.

  • Ability to travel – approximately 20%

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Advanced degree and 7+ years of Digital Technology, Information Systems or Cybersecurity experience; OR Bachelor’s degree an 10+ years of relevant experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience as a direct supervisor or manager of people in the field of classified cybersecurity, or 10+ years of experience in a non-cybersecurity field.

  • Current IAM Level III certification (CISM, CISSP, GIAC).

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Advanced degree, preferably in cybersecurity, computer science, or IT-related field of study.

  • In-depth knowledge of Industrial Security and the regulations associated with SAPs, NISPOM, JSIG, and NIST 800 Series documents.

  • Experience as an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) working in a SAP environment.

  • Programming experience with languages such as (but not limited to) bash, csh, Java/JavaScript, Perl, PowerShell, Python, sh, and/or VBA.

  • Experience in implementing DevSecOps practices and securing containerized software environments, ensuring robust security measures are integrated throughout the software development lifecycle.

  • Strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of ISSMs, ISSEs and ISSOs, combined with the ability to clearly communicate security policies and procedures to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Current Top Secret-level U.S. government Security Clearance.

  • Special Access Programs experience.

  • Experience with information systems that support classified programs or activities is preferred.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
