Director Technology Risk Program Office

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Technical Cybersecurity Program Office Director will oversee and lead the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive cybersecurity programs. This role requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of cybersecurity technologies, risk management, and program management principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing large-scale cybersecurity projects and leading cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong technical background in cybersecurity, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver successful project outcomes.

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Lead Cybersecurity Initiatives:

Oversee and support key initiatives across various cybersecurity domains; collaborate with SMEs to ensure the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Project Management:

· Plan, manage, and oversee technically complex cybersecurity projects from initiation to completion.

· Define technical project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

· Develop detailed technical project plans, schedules, and budgets, and track project milestones and deliverables.

· Coordinate and lead cross-functional technical project teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.

· Identify and manage technical project risks, issues, and dependencies, and develop mitigation strategies.

· Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards, policies, and best practices.

· Monitor and report on project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders and senior management.

· Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.

· Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.

Ad Hoc Support as Needed:

· Support after-action reporting for incidents and issues, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 10 years in project management.

· Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies.

· Proven experience in managing complex cybersecurity projects.

· Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.

· Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

· Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent are highly desirable.

 

PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT AND REQUIREMENTS:

· Flexible working arrangements may be available.

· Some Travel may be required.
