About the Role

As a Senior Engineer in the Cloud and Application Security team, you will collaborate closely with business and technology teams across Reece to secure cloud platforms and applications. You’ll be an integral part of the Information Security team, deploying, configuring, and optimizing key security tooling to protect our infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the security of Reece's cloud environments, focusing on proactive measures and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Safeguard Cloud Security: Deploy, configure, and optimize security tooling across cloud platforms, enhancing visibility, vulnerability management, and overall security posture.
• Secure Application Development: Implement and monitor application security solutions, embedding secure software development practices throughout the SDLC.
• Operational Support: Monitor and respond to operational alerts, collaborating with users and tech teams to maintain security while minimizing business impact.
• Continuous Improvement: Review security tooling effectiveness, recommend improvements, and contribute to the evolution of cloud and application security practices.
• Automation and Integration: Develop and maintain automation for build and deployment processes, enhancing continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Incident Response: Support security incident responses by identifying root causes and implementing preventive measures.
• Strategic Initiatives: Contribute to the delivery of cloud-centric initiatives, balancing strategic projects with day-to-day operations.

As a Senior Engineer:

• Mentor and guide team members to help them achieve their professional goals.
• Champion Agile practices and contribute to team rituals.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and experiment with new technologies and working methodologies.

About You

You are a proactive and innovative security engineer, passionate about cloud security and application safety. You have hands-on experience securing cloud platforms and a deep understanding of security best practices. As a senior team member, you're committed to driving technical excellence and fostering a collaborative and growth-driven environment.

What You’ll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, particularly in securing systems and cloud environments.
• Expertise in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong knowledge of security standards like NIST, CIS, PCI DSS, and OWASP ASVS.
• Experience with secure software development, CI/CD security, and automation tools.
• Understanding of operating systems and domain environments (Windows, Linux, containerized workloads).
• Strong incident response skills and experience managing cybersecurity threats and risks.
