Senior Analyst, Legal Compliance - Data Analysis, Reporting, Tableau/Power BI

Overview:
The Senior Analyst – Legal Compliance will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of compliance functions through data analysis, reporting, and process optimization. This role involves working closely with compliance teams to develop and maintain key compliance metrics, dashboards, and reports that provide actionable insights. The ideal candidate should have a strong analytical background, proficiency in data visualization tools, and a deep understanding of compliance-related data requirements.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, maintain, and enhance compliance-related reports, dashboards, and metrics to support regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
• Work closely with compliance teams across the globe to gather reporting needs and ensure accurate data representation.
• Automate data extraction, transformation, and visualization processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and potential risks related to compliance activities.
• Support the compliance leadership with ad hoc reporting and data requests to aid decision-making.
• Assist in regulatory reporting by ensuring timely and accurate submission of compliance-related metrics and data.
• Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams to enhance data collection, storage, and retrieval processes.
• Ensure data integrity and quality by implementing data validation and reconciliation checks.
• Stay updated with regulatory requirements and industry best practices in compliance reporting and analytics.
• Contribute to process improvements and technology adoption to enhance the compliance function’s analytical capabilities.

All About You:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in MIS, analytics, or data reporting, preferably in a compliance, risk, or financial services environment.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Experience in automation of reporting processes using scripting languages (Python, VBA, or R) is a plus.
• Understanding of compliance, regulatory reporting, and risk management principles.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in the financial services or payments industry is a plus.
