Team Description

The MongoDB Security Organization addresses CyberSecurity risks and implements secure policies, processes, and technology aligned with business priorities. With a focus on IAM and Security Enginering, our team secures corporate cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and manages tools like Okta, GitHub, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage IAM policies for secure and compliant resource access across cloud platforms
  • Advance Zero Trust initiatives and manage device posture, network monitoring, and identity solutions
  • Protect cloud infrastructure and applications through security protocols and best practices
  • Monitor security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate to integrate security in development and deployment processes
  • Conduct security audits and assessments to ensure compliance and identify risks
  • Optimize Okta, including SSO and MFA across the organization
  • Manage and administer GitHub, implementing best practices for security
  • Manage and administer MDM systems (JAMF, Workspace One (Airwatch), FleetDM, etc.) for secure device usage

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years in AWS, GCP, and Azure cloud platforms with vendor certifications (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure)
  • Expertise in Okta, Google Workspace, Jamf, Cloudflare, Airwatch, GitHub, and cloud services
  • Competency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/OpenTofu, CloudFormation)
  • Proficiency in OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, and experience with MDM platforms
  • Experience managing and leading a security engineering team
  • Proficient in Python, Bash and PowerShell with additional experience of using low code/no code automation platforms such as Tines/Okta Workflows
  • A strong ability to troubleshoot and diagnose real end-to-end technical issues
  • Effective communication skills for diverse audiences and calm problem-solving under pressure
  • Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and ability to work both independently and with global teams

Preferred Experience

  • Operating experience in a large organization (10,000+ employees)

  • Conduct meetings to ensure team growth and maximize productivity

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.
