Job Summary:DeleteMe’s Privacy Operations team is the beating heart of the organization, delivering timely and high quality service to protect our members. As an OSINT Researcher you will become a trusted resource for both the Privacy Operations team and the whole company. Your focus will be conducting thorough open-source investigations using public, social media, and deep/dark web resources. These investigations will help enhance DeleteMe’s scan and risk assessment capabilities for our members. They will also inform development of Product tooling and service delivery. Utilizing your vocational experience and a passion for privacy you will research and document the ecosystem of open source intelligence collection, aiding DeleteMe in its goal of protecting the online privacy of its valued members.
This position is a fixed-term contract for six months, with the potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough open-source investigations using public, social media, and deep/dark web resources.
- Utilize advanced search techniques and OSINT tools for data collection and analysis.
- Identify threats, trends, and patterns in public data relevant to organizational objectives.
- Deliver findings in high quality research products for internal and external use.
- Act as subject matter expert for data privacy, fielding ad hoc operational requests from Revenue, Product and Privacy Operations teams.
- Assist in managing escalations for high priority customer issues.
- Audit internal and external documentation for accuracy, updating as required.
Job Requirements:
- Batchelor’s degree preferred- ideally with a concentration in Cybersecurity or Information Technology
- Proven experience (1–3 years) in OSINT or a related field.
- A passion for privacy protection, with professional qualifications preferred (eg. SANS SEC487, OSINT Academy or OSINT Foundation certification)
- Power user of relevant tools in the following areas: Data Collection, Social Media Analysis, Geolocation/ Mapping and Network Analysis
- Experience using investigative tooling such as Maltego, Spiderfoot or Shodan
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills, with a strong attention to detail
- Good interpersonal skills, able to coherently communicate verbally and in writing
- Adaptability, able to keep up in a fast moving, dynamic workplace
- Familiarity with G Suite tools (Gmail, Google Sheets etc.)
