IT Security Analyst (On-site, St. Louis, MO.)

Job Description

The Security Analyst is responsible for protecting SumnerOne’s information systems, networks, and data from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. This role involves monitoring security events, analyzing incidents, and implementing proactive security measures. The Security Analyst plays a key role in maintaining the company's overall security posture by identifying risks, responding to threats, and continuously improving security controls.

Responsibilities

• Monitor alerts, analyze incidents, and identify threats
• Investigate incidents, collaborate with response teams, and document activities
• Conduct assessments and address weaknesses with relevant teams
• Maintain and optimize security tools
• Stay informed, analyze feeds, and adapt security measures
• Document incidents, investigations, and provide reports
• Assist in developing and enforcing security policies
• Contribute to awareness programs and educate employees
• Work closely with your team, incident response, and administrators
• Learn from incidents and enhance security controls

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, cybersecurity, or related field
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, tools, and techniques
• Familiarity with monitoring tools and SIEM platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication for cross-functional collaboration
• Adaptability to evolving threats and technologies

Additional Information:

• Job Type: Full Time (M-F, Hybrid schedule after training period)
• Location: Reside within driving distance of our St. Louis office
• Compensation: The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within a fair market range and ideally within the salary range below. Your actual base pay will depend on your geographic location, as well as job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
