Information Security Manager 

Based in BUD - Office 

Purpose of the position:

As Wizz Air continues its rapid growth and we also becoming visibility targets. The external threat environment has also changed dramatically as technology becomes more complex, criminal activity more prevalent and the regulatory penalty more serious. Wizz Air is recruiting in its Global Info & Cyber Security team to achieve the company’s security vision and deliver state-of-the-art security.

To be successful, the candidate will have medior security expertise and leadership profile. This means the right candidate brings content knowledge but also the business acumen, credibility and interpersonal skills required to execute cross functionally.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, directing, and delivering on IT security-related activities
• Leads cyber security experts to ensure Cyber delivery according to the cyber roadmap
• Engages, manages and controls 3rd party vendors to support Security delivery
• Recommend security enhancements and regularly reports the progress of delivery to leadership team
• Representing security in IT/Business projects, purchasing projects
• Delivering new security technology approaches and implementing next generation solutions.
• Driving change projects and building new IT security capabilities to minimise the risk of cyber-attacks

Day-to-day tasks:

• Leading and delivering a strategy for the deployment of information security technologies.
• Tracking latest IT security innovations and keeping abreast of latest cyber security technologies, to then introduce and drive value where there is a strong case to do so.
• Managing the IT security delivery team, security experts and advisors.
• Championing and educating the organisation about the latest security strategies and technologies.

Requirements:

• College or University degree
• Fluent English
• Knowledge of Cyber Security Frameworks and best practices
• Knowledge of Cyber Security tools and techniques
• Experience of managing and partnering with 3rd party suppliers
• Min. 2 years of IT and information security experience
• Knowledge and awareness of trends in information security-related areas and technology
• Highly Desirable - Accreditation in leading practices such as ITIL, UK Cyber Essentials, ISO27001, SANS, ISACA, CISSP, CISA, CEH.
