Who we are looking for

As a member of the Cyber Governance, Risk & Compliance team, this member will be responsible for Third Party and Fourth Party Transformation, reporting to the Global Head of Cyber Governance, Risk and Compliance.

The person in this role will demonstrate deep knowledge of current industry standards and frameworks aligned to cyber third and forth party risk management. Additionally, the person in this role will have a deep understanding of industry standard frameworks in the financial services industry, such as; NIST and ISO frameworks. The right candidate will have indepth knowledge of Vendor and Supplier Risk management.

What you will be responsible for:

As Lead of GRC Cyber TPRM Transformation you will

  • Lead efforts to integrate the new cyber security framework into the existing Third Party Risk Management program moving the process to the beginning of the procurement process
  • Lead workstreams to integrate the new cyber TPRM framework into existing processes with legal and procurement in regards to RFPs initiated by the business.
  • Direct the Integration of the IRQ (Inherent Risk Questionnaire) and DDQ (Due Diligence Questionnaire) processes into the new cyber TPRM framework
  • Create a tollgate for findings management in cases where the engagement does not go live until all findings have been remediated or in cases of POCs when the data goes to the vendor
  • Ensure that the new end-to end cyber TPRM Framework workflow model is documented and socialized; create opportunities for automation
  • Provide leadership for the creation and implementation of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant and Timely) metrics to provide senior global cyber security management and invested business unit groups with a view of cyber TPRM processes
  • Deliver enhanced education and awareness programs to include new third party risk management framework requirements to appropriate stakeholders
  • Define and deliver a framework to manage 4th party vendors that have no legal contractual obligations to State Street
  • Ensure that the team has a commitment to information security by obtaining additional training and staying current with information security technologies and practices.
  • Drive the development of process improvements to meet business goals
  • Provide support and guidance to team when needed

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Applicants must have previous experience and knowledge in cyber TPRM frameworks in a large organization.  
  • Bachelor degree or higher preferred
  • Minimum 10 years relevant IT experience
  • Minimum 5  years of information security, compliance or audit experience related to third-party risk preferred
  • Financial services experience a plus
  • CISA, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, CISSP, CGEIT or similar certification required or an agreed upon plan to achieve this certification within 1 year of hire
  • Knowledge of crypto digital assets a plus

Additional requirements  

Occasional travel within and outside US will be required ( <10% of time)
