The opportunity
Data Security Services (DSS) is part of EY’s Information Security function. The mission of DSS is to prevent, detect and respond to Data Security Incidents and help protect confidential information and intellectual property of EY and its clients. Various technologies are utilized to detect and prevent data exfiltration and protect data. The DSS Technology Adoption team is committed to mastering emerging technologies and integrating them into DSS service offerings to bolster EY’s data security posture.
The DSS Technology Adoption Specialist will report to the DSS Technology Adoption Lead. They will help adopt new technical capabilities and integrate them into the service offerings of Data Security Services.
Your key responsibilities
The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for:
• Act as Subject Matter Expert in global projects and support adoption of new solutions to extend Data Security Services portfolio
• Review Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies and suggest improvements to the logic
• Collaborate with security teams handling SIEM and SOAR integration to improve threat detection and response strategies
• Participate in Data Access Governance Program development and assist in administering the program
• Develop Service and Operation models for newly adopted tools
• Help to drive continuous improvement of the DSS technologies
• Manage transition of workflows to teams responsible for implementing the solution as part of their Business as Usual (BAU) activities.
Skills and attributes for success
• Strong understanding of Data Security domain throughout the Data Security Lifecycle
• Technical knowledge in Data Protection technology (DLP, SIEM, SOAR, Data Access Governance, Networking)
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Flexibility to adjust to multiple demands, shifting priorities, ambiguity and rapid change
• Ability to independently research and identify opportunities to improve service offerings
• Ability to efficiently handle customer concerns and difficult situations with ease and professionalism.
• Possess a versatile communication style that adapts to the audience, with different approaches for management, peers, and external parties.
To qualify for the role, you must have
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
• Knowledge of security controls: data classification; data labeling and data loss
• 2-3 years of experience working in a security related subject area with awareness of data security and regulatory requirements
• Exceptional judgement, tact and decision-making ability
Ideally, you’ll also have
• Global mindset for working with different cultures and backgrounds
• Ability to appropriately balance firm security needs with business impact and benefit
