As a Systems Security Analyst, you’re in the middle of the action, responding to and mitigating threats in real time. You’re the first line of cyber defense for your organization, and they look to you for guidance on best practices and security measures. We need a Tier 2 SOC analyst like you to help us secure critical infrastructure from the constant onslaught of cyber attacks.
As a Systems Security Analyst on our team, you’ll improve monitoring strategies and analyze threats, using ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms. You’ll use your cyber security skills to:
Actively review and monitor the NCRC JMN security boundary architecture utilizing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS). Archive the logs for retention as required by the JSIG.
Perform log reviews utilizing Endpoint Security Solution (ESS) and SolarWinds Event Manager (SEM) tools.
Assess new technology capabilities as they relate to security concerns and provide recommendations to the ISSM during weekly meetings.
Track JMN Privileged User’s Standard User Agreements (SUAs), Privileged User Agreements (PUAs), System Access and Authorization Request (SAAR) forms, annual training, and professional cert status. Track cybersecurity workforce (CSWF) for the program per current DoD requirements.
Actively monitor SIPR for CTO notifications, verify applicability, research requirements to implement, and submit response, as required.
Collect and review site documentation from new sites as well as coordination with site POCs for annual updates. Review of each document will include verification of completeness and compliance with all security requirements.
Conduct cybersecurity related research, analysis and coordination activities in support of DoD cyber assurance and policy efforts are multiple classification levels. Lead working groups to develop cybersecurity strategies to meet emerging threats.
You’ll work with the team to understand, mitigate, and respond to threats quickly, restoring operations and limiting the impact. You’ll guide efforts to figure out just how many systems are affected and assist recovery efforts. You’ll combine threat intelligence, event data, and assessments from recent events, and identify patterns to understand attackers’ goals to stop them from succeeding. You Have:
5+ years of experience with system vulnerability management within DoD or IC
5+ years of experience in analyzing and securing DoD or Information Technology systems for compliance with specifications, requirements and policies
3+ years of experience as a ISSO, ISSE, or ISSM
Knowledge of DoD and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity policies
Knowledge of ESS, ACAS, and DoD SIEM platforms
TS/SCI clearance
HS diploma or GED
CCE, CISSO, CySA+, FITSP-O, GCLD, GCSA, GICSP, GISF, or GSEC certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience with Assessment and Authorization (A&A) in support of DoD and IC programs, including package development, artifact generation, and authority to operate (ATO)
Experience with security hardening of Windows and Linux operating systems and security tools, such as ACAS, SCAP, STIG, SRGs, SCC, eMASS, and Xacta
Ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences
Ability to work in a team
Possession of excellent organizational skills
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
