About this role

Seasoned Software Engineering professional, working independently.  Conducts moderately complex tests and debugs control and diagnostic systems.  Undertakes multidisciplinary research, and works on system capabilities analysis to determine end user needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work on full-stack software solutions to build web UI, middleware, database and CICD pipeline solutions.

  • Design and implement software solutions in a public cloud environment with a focus on adding/improving secure architectures.

  • Work closely with product management and teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle

  • Collaborate with Carrier cybersecurity teams to ensure adherence to security standards and compliance frameworks

  • Work with teams on scheduling and understanding results of penetration tests

  • Assist with Compliance activities including cybersecurity questionnaires and on-site audits

  • Implementation and use of various static code analysis, software composition analysis and threat modeling tools

  • Drive continuous improvement in engineering practices.

  • Be assertive and willing to escalate issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

  • 3+ years of experience in software development using C#.

  • 2+ years of experience in Angular, React or Vue.JS.

  • 2+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server or Postgres.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience working with TFVC and/or Git is preferred.

  • 1+ years of experience working with project management tools such as Jira, Rally, or TFS is preferred.

  • Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including secure coding practices, OWASP guidelines, and vulnerability assessment, is preferred.

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Strong SOA and distributed computing experience.

  • Experience working with microservices architectures.

  • Experience working in a distributed team environment.

  • Experience building and supporting a SaaS software platform.

  • Active interest in new technologies and emerging engineering practices.

  • Experience working with public cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure or AWS.

  • Experience with popular static analysis, software composition analysis and threat modeling tools such as Threat Modeler and tools created by Blackduck.
