SUMMARYWe are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Cybersecurity Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Technical Consulting & Business Development to join our team.This individual will provide expert-level technical consulting across a variety of cybersecurity disciplines to a diverse set of customers. In addition to delivering high-quality consulting services, the SME will also play a key role in business development, driving the growth of our cybersecurity practice by identifying opportunities and fostering customer relationships.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Strong experience in managing and executing large-scale cybersecurity projects.· Experience in various cybersecurity domains, such as risk management, compliance, incident response, cloud security, and security operations.· Prior experience in business development, including generating new leads, managing relationships, and writing proposals. Strong understanding of current and emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and best practices.· Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.· Proven ability to identify and address business opportunities, particularly in a cybersecurity context.· Experience working in client-facing roles and managing customer relationships.· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think strategically and deliver innovative solutions.
QUALIFICATIONSRequired Certifications· PMPEducation, Background, and Years of Experience· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
ADDITIONAL SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONSRequired Skills· Minimum of 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, with a proven track record in technical consulting and business development.· Top Secret Clearance
Technical Consulting:· Serve as the principal technical consultant on a wide range of cybersecurity projects, addressing customer needs in areas such as threat detection, vulnerability management, risk assessments, incident response, and security architecture.· Provide deep subject matter expertise across multiple cybersecurity domains, including but not limited to network security, cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, and data protection.· Conduct security assessments and audits for clients to evaluate their security posture and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.· Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver customized security solutions based on the specific needs and requirements of each client.· Advise clients on the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and industry best practices. Business Development:· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including responding to requests for proposals (RFPs) and engaging in discussions with potential clients to understand their cybersecurity needs.· Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including C-level executives, IT leaders, and cybersecurity teams.· Work with the sales and marketing teams to promote the organization’s cybersecurity services and develop strategic partnerships.· Assist in creating proposals, whitepapers, and other marketing materials to support business development efforts.· Monitor industry trends and competitor offerings to position the organization as a thought leader in the cybersecurity space.
Team Collaboration & Leadership:· Collaborate with internal teams to develop cybersecurity solutions that align with client needs.· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior cybersecurity staff, helping them grow their skills and knowledge.· Lead client workshops, training sessions, and presentations on a variety of cybersecurity topics.· Participate in cybersecurity community activities, conferences, and thought leadership initiatives to enhance personal and organizational visibility.Preferred Skills· CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)· CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)· CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor)· GIAC (Global Information Assurance Certification)
