Cybersecurity - Information System Security Officer (ISSO)

 

Why This is an Exciting Role:

As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO), you will provide support for corporate, program, organization and system information assurance program. 

The selected candidate will rely on Cybersecurity and Information Assurance (IA) background to be a technical leader and support Enterprise activities and Boeing customers throughout multiple classified computing domains. The ISSO is responsible for maintaining and implementing all Information System Security policies, standards, and directives to ensure assessment and authorization of information systems processing classified information.  Position responsibilities will include:

  • Perform security analysis of operational and development environments, threats, vulnerabilities and internal interfaces to define and assess compliance with accepted industry and government standards
  • Lead and implement the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes under the Risk Managed Framework (RMF) for new and existing information systems
  • Facilitate development of Memorandums of Understanding (MOU), Interconnection Security Agreements (ISA), Risk Acceptance Letters (RAL) and support Continuous Monitoring (CONMON)
  • Oversee configuration management of assigned systems; auditing systems to ensure security posture integrity
  • Conduct risk assessments and investigations, execute appropriate risk mitigations, and oversee incident response activities
  • Conduct periodic hardware/software inventory assessments

Experience and Qualifications:

To be eligible for this demanding position, the ideal candidate should demonstrate the following experience and qualifications:  

Required Education and Years of Experience: 

  • Associate or Bachelor's degree from an accredited course of study in a technical field;
  • 1+ years of experience as an information system security officer (ISSO) or information system security manager (ISSM) supporting classified programs 

Required Qualifications: ​

  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Clearance
  • 1+ years of experience with cyber security policies and implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF): e.g. DAAPM, CNSSI 1253, ICD-503, JSIG, and/or NIST SP 800 series 
  • Systems Administration and/or Networking experience

Desired Qualifications: ​

  • IAM Level 1 DoD 8140.01 (previously 8570.01) compliant certification (i.e. CAP, GSLC, Security+ CE, CISSP, CASP, CISM)
  • Willingness to provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support as needed to assist SA team

Telework/Remote Availability:  Hybrid work authorized (minimum 4 days onsite)

Summary Pay Range:

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

$89,000 - $126,000
