Job Description
Position Summary
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP of Information Technology (VPIT) engages in a strategic partnership with the CFO and the Organization. This position is the most senior IT leadership role across the company and is responsible for the overall technology strategy, execution, maintenance, and leadership. This position works closely with CLC’s leaders to ensure that business strategy and technology strategy are tightly aligned. The VPIT provides vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives and directs the planning, implementation, operation and support of all IT staff and systems. VPIT will bring current knowledge and future vision for leveraging technology to achieve business goals including but is not limited to data analytics, business intelligence, cybersecurity, compliance, infrastructure and business process optimization.
Essential Duties
- Develops the IT strategy, mission, and vision for the Organization to foster a mission-based, business-oriented culture and enables the Organization’s growth strategy. Leads the development of the IT strategy roadmap, ensuring its integration with the Organization's strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans including security and compliance.
- Creates, maintains and regularly evaluates a three-year strategic plan which details the roadmap of technology evolution to support the organization.
- Develops a comprehensive understanding of the Organization’s operational requirements and establishes standards to meet the needs of the Organization and to mitigate cybersecurity risks.
- Participates in, and contributes to, the assessment of external opportunities and threats, and the internal technology capabilities required to achieve desired competitive positioning.
- Partners with the senior management team to identify, define and report progress on key technology initiatives and needs.
- Stays informed on emerging technologies and platforms, providing direction on what should be introduced, integrated, or assimilated to align IT capabilities with the Organization's strategy.
- Serves on IT related policymaking committees; drives the development of enterprise technology standards, governance processes and performance metrics to ensure IT delivers value to the organization.
- Develops and determines capital investment parameters, priorities, and risks for organization-wide IT initiatives to maximize the return on investment.
- Leads the IT team and its business partners in effective execution of IT strategy and roadmap.
- Maintains oversight of all IT projects, ensuring that commitments are properly planned, staffed, monitored, and reported.
- Establishes and enforces IT policies, processes, portfolio management, development standards and methodologies.
- Oversees all vendor and partner agreements for IT services and equipment to ensure alignment with security and business goals. Provides technology vision, support, strategy, and integration for: business intelligence, business analytics, Network Operations, Disaster Recovery/Backups, etc.
- Aligns technology risk management with organization-wide risk management.
- Provides technology vision, strategy, and integration for areas such as business intelligence, network operations, disaster recovery, backups, and compliance. Hires, develops, and retains a highly qualified IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, transparency, and accountability.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field, or equivalent work experience. Advanced Degree desired.
- 10+ years professional work experience in Information Technology, with 5+ years in a senior technology leadership position.
- CISSP, CISM, HCISPP or equivalent certifications strongly desired to demonstrate cybersecurity and healthcare expertise.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, workforce and budget management and policy development, and IT policy development.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA, HITRUST, or other healthcare compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts to diverse stakeholders, including business leaders, board members, and front-line employees.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement comprehensive approaches to cyber security and risk management strategies ensuring organizational readiness against evolving threats.
- Deep knowledge of IT domains, including security administration, technology change management, business intelligence, data management, business continuity, disaster recovery, and asset management.
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills to drive the development and implementation of a forward-looking IT vision that aligns with organizational goals.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a strategic “people” plan that ensures that the right people are in the right roles at the right time and that employees are highly engaged and satisfied.
- Ability to engage and influence across the organization that includes excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain IT concepts and technologies to both business leaders and hourly team members.

Pay range for this position is $141,200 - $183,500 / year plus applicable bonus programs.
