IT Technical Writer

cFocus Software seeks an IT Technical Writer to join our program supporting Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AOUSC). This position is on-site in Washington, DC. This position requires the ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications:

• 7 years’ experience developing IT presentation material for technical information (cybersecurity)
• 10 years’ experience working collaboratively with senior and support IT personnel
• 10 years of experience with Microsoft Office Tools such as Word, PowerPoint Excel, Visio, and Forms
• Sound foundation in grammar, punctuation, and use of the English language, with emphasis on producing clear, direct prose.
• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, journalism or a related field required.
• Additional education or certifications (e.g., Network+, Security+, CISSP) in IT/Information Security preferred.

Duties:

• Develop newsletters highlighting weekly vulnerability and patching activity.
• Develop guides for how to utilize certain technologies.
• Draft, review, and edit IT presentation material.
• Generate feedback forms using tools such as Microsoft Forms.
• Provide written recommendations on Government drafts of executive summaries and briefings.
• Provide recommendations and input into other content and presentations.
