We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Space Electronic Warfare EW Analyst to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the analysis and assessment of Department of Defense DOD space EW capabilities, identifying potential capability gaps in light of current and emerging adversary capabilities. As part of the USSTRATCOM Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations JEMSO Center, the Space EW Analyst will provide subject matter expertise and support key activities related to space electromagnetic warfare and operations. Travel is required.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Space Electromagnetic Warfare EW Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis and assessment of current and future DOD space EW capabilities, identifying capability gaps in the context of both current and potential adversary capabilities.
  • Independent Research: Perform independent research on space EW and related fields, contributing to various studies, working groups, and portfolio management forums within the Department of Defense.
  • Development of Concepts & Strategies: Assist in the development of future space EW concepts, strategies, and plans to inform electromagnetic spectrum operations EMSO-related policies, ensuring alignment with USSTRATCOM priorities.
  • Policy and Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise on space EW to various forums across the DOD, influencing and advancing JEMSO readiness and ensuring operational effectiveness in the electromagnetic spectrum.
  • Collaboration with JEC Management: Work closely with Joint Electromagnetic Center JEC management and other subject matter experts to provide technical advice and analysis of space EW capabilities, threats, and vulnerabilities within EMSO.
  • Threat and Vulnerability Assessment: Analyze offensive and defensive space control EMS capabilities, focusing on their strengths, weaknesses, and potential vulnerabilities.
  • Mitigation Recommendations: Support analysis activities by identifying weaknesses in space EW capabilities and recommending mitigation practices and potential solutions to strengthen overall EMSO readiness.

Requirements

 

  • Strong knowledge and experience in space electronic warfare and electromagnetic spectrum operations.
  • Familiarity with DOD space EW capabilities, strategies, and policies.
  • Experience in analyzing offensive and defensive space control capabilities.
  • Ability to identify capability gaps and vulnerabilities within space EW systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to influence across various DOD forums.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams, particularly with government and military stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Active Top Secret/SCI clearance is mandatory.
