OVERVIEW
As part of CAA’s Global Safety & Security Organisation, this role will be responsible for planning and directing regional/international implementation of safety and security programs. The right person for this role will be adept in coordinating and implementing site-security operations and activities to ensure the protection of CAA agents, executives, staff, and global travellers in region. This individual will be proactive in identifying opportunities for improvement and making recommendations on ways to improve global safety and security programs, while also remaining aligned on global standards as established by the program’s senior leadership. This role will report to the Global Head of Safety & Security.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Plan and direct the international implementation of CAA’s Security function under senior direction from the US-based Global Safety & Security team.
Develop, implement, and manage the strategic and tactical planning for the region's security programs.
Demonstrate accountability for regional/international assets, facilities, employees, and global travelers.
Identify, develop, implement and maintain security processes across CAA to reduce risks, respond to incidents, and protect the company and its people.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, standards, and training within the region under the direction of the global program leadership.
Work with in-country and in-region agencies, staff, and CAA functional leads (from HR, Legal, etc.) in directing the approach, deployment, and execution of locally-based investigations and risk-mitigation efforts (ensuring compliance with all local, provincial, and federal laws and regulations).
Maintain close relationships with high-level law enforcement, intelligence, and private sector counterparts to include in-country security and international security agencies, in collaboration with US-based CAA security leadership.
Work with program leadership on local/regional implementation of security technology and platforms compatible with global strategy.
Collaborate with the Security Systems team to support and help execute security technology installations regionally.
Brief senior management on status of international security issues and engage with US-based security leadership on information sharing and best practices in risk mitigation.
Serve on regional crisis and incident response teams.
Build trust and work collaboratively with key stakeholders regionally and globally.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
7+ years of experience in corporate security, and/or public service, intelligence, or threat management.
Must have demonstrated experience and exposure in the international security arena.
Certifications preferred – in areas related to protection, investigations, threat management, security systems, and/or risk management.
In depth knowledge of security systems, including CCTV, access control and intrusion detection.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, written and verbal communication skills, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Able to work collaboratively and build productive relationships, both external and internal - across levels and functions.
Able to travel throughout EMEA region, as required.
