This position is a 6 month contract to hire.

Starting Salary Range
- $81,843.54 - $87,181.17 / Central FL
- $83,859.29 - $89,328.38 / South FL
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Patch Management Coordination:
- Lead the planning, testing, and scheduling of system patches across all endpoints, mobile devices, servers, and network infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain a patch management schedule and ensure timely application of security patches and updates.
- Coordinate with various teams to minimize disruption and ensure compatibility of patches with organizational systems.
Vulnerability Assessment and Mitigation:
- Assist in conducting vulnerability assessments and identifying missing patches or security risks.
- Work closely with Cybersecurity and Enterprise Risk teams to understand the criticality of vulnerabilities and prioritize patch deployments accordingly.
- Ensure that high-risk vulnerabilities are addressed promptly and aligned with security compliance requirements.
Threat Detection & Mitigation:
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security threats and vulnerabilities. Perform threat hunting and advanced detection activities to protect systems and data
Communication and Collaboration:
- Act as the primary liaison between the cybersecurity team and other departments, including IT Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Service & Support, for all patch-related activities.
- Communicate patch management schedules, risks, and the importance of updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Document and report patching status, including metrics on patch compliance, completion rates, and any patching exceptions.
Process Improvement:
- Analyze and enhance the patch management workflow to streamline the process and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, tools, and trends in patch management and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist in developing policies and procedures related to patch management and endpoint security.
Security Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure that patching practices meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, including PCI-DSS, ISO, or other applicable frameworks.
- Maintain accurate records of all patching activities and provide regular compliance reports.
- Support audits by providing documentation and demonstrating patch management processes as required.
Support for Cybersecurity Initiatives:
- Assist in other cybersecurity-related initiatives as needed, including threat detection, incident response, and security awareness programs.
- Deliver and maintain staff technology security controls, agents, and remediation of anomalies. This includes routine review of inbound/outbound email, web traffic, or other data.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to strengthen overall security posture and align with organizational security goals.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required. Relevant certifications and experience may substitute for a degree.
- Experience:
- Level I: 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and security frameworks.
- Knowledge of NCUA regulatory and compliance requirements for IT is a plus
- Familiarity with patch management tools (e.g., SCCM, WSUS, Tanium, InTune, etc.) and vulnerability scanning solutions (e.g., Tenable, Qualys).
- Experience with various security layers DLP/Email Security/Web Filters/EDR/AV/Vulnerability Management
- Proficiency in Windows, Linux, and network infrastructure environments.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Industry certifications (such as CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent) are a plus.

- No adverse environmental working conditions
- Ability to travel occasionally between the Melbourne and Miramar, FL offices
