We are a fully remote IT services provider that delivers innovative Enterprise IT and Health Services solutions across the federal sector. Our focus is on data analytics, health informatics, cloud migration, and the modernization of federal information systems.

IGS is currently recruiting for a remote Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to support IGS by making company-wide decisions regarding technology.
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) should be well informed and experienced with the latest technology and possess innovative and effective communication and leadership skills. The CTO aligns technology to the overall strategic plan by initiating, planning, designing, and managing staff for technology within IGS and provides recommendations to our customers. The CTO leads all technology decisions for bids and supports both the business development and operations efforts through delivery.
Assignment of Work and Travel:
This is a remote access assignment. Candidates will remotely access IGS systems and therein use approved IGS provided communication systems. Travel for the position is 25% for conferences, meetings and offsite meetings as requested.
Responsibilities and Duties (Included but not limited to):
- Define the company’s overall technology strategy, binding it to the overall strategic plan to support operations and business development objectives.
- Research and make recommendations on potential selections of new IT technologies.
- Lead all IGS technical environments used for training, solutioning and innovation.
- Advise IGS and/or government teams, as well as stakeholders, on the feasibility of future potential projects and IT strategies to advance the customer's IT enterprise and mission.
- Work to understand customer needs, validate solutions, and define and create solution diagrams and documents to ensure seamless integration and address all customer priorities, including performance, functionality, ease of use, and security considerations.
- Research and develop innovative technologies to implement in the organization.
- Evaluation of software specifications, interface specifications, and technical standards to meet business requirements and hardware/software compatibility
- Present to customer/stakeholders’ concepts of IT solutions. This includes oral presentations to customers.
- Provide support to the business development team to develop and/or review technical solutions that are cost effective for each proposal that is submitted on behalf of IGS.
- Review and make recommendations for data security policies and ensure employees are complying with policies and procedures.
- Provide IGS’ annual IT budget for review and approval by CEO.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans and business continuity strategies.
- Develop articles or use cases to publish on IGS website.
- Support development of material for website coordinating with operations on news and events related to IT.
- Review all IT training for each technical staff with HR.
- Manage strategic vendor and technology partner relationships.
- Attend industry seminars and conferences.
- Promote IGS capabilities with potential partners and customers.
- Provide support to generate quotes for any IT application or hardware needed for IGS or for a proposal.
- Develop feasibility studies and decision analysis studies providing detailed quantitative and qualitative comparative analysis of technologies, products, and solutions.
- Provide expertise and stay up to date on federal IT and security regulations.
- Ad Hoc Assignments
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent scientific or technical discipline; fifteen (15) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Fifteen (15) years’ technical architecture experience, including a variety of programming languages, platforms, and operating systems.
- Prior experience as a senior engineering leader overseeing architecture and engineering for enterprise-wide technology platforms.
- Broad knowledge of software engineering languages, frameworks, techniques, and industry trends.
- Ability to lead technical professionals in a highly collaborative, team-based environment.
- Extensive knowledge of and experience with software development lifecycle and processes (Agile, SAFe, DevSecOps, ITIL, ITSM, CMMI, ISO)
- Ability to facilitate and lead conversations with key government and non-government stakeholders.
- Candidates should possess one or more of the following certifications:
o ITIL 4 Foundations certification
o Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
o TOGAF 9 certification
o AWS Certified Solutions Architect- Professional
o Programming certifications
o Azure and Cloud certifications
o Security+CE up to CISSP certifications
o Certified IT Professional (CITP)
- Ability to support customers during EST hours.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship due to clearance requirement.
Preferred Qualifications and Core Competencies:
- Experience with Federal customers with focus on AI/ML, Data Analytics, Interoperability, and integration in multi-cloud environments
- Must be able to leverage technology and apply critical thinking to gather, aggregate, and analyze data, and present results to senior clients and management.
- Have additional technical and management certifications not listed above.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively.
- Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.
- Demonstrate leadership and foster a collaborative team approach.
- Active Public Trust security clearance
- Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment.

Compensation: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary, including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
