Job Overview:
The Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture will lead the development and implementation of the organization's enterprise architecture strategy. This role involves aligning IT initiatives with business goals, optimizing technology investments, and ensuring scale and efficient architecture across the organization. Candidate may be located in one of three locations, but must be within driving distance to come to the office.
Primary Roles and Responsibilities:
- Strategic Development: Formulate and execute a comprehensive architecture strategy that supports the company’s business goals and encourages technological advancement.
- Infrastructure Management: Direct the design and optimization of technology infrastructure to enhance overall performance, security, and scalability.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with cross-functional leaders to integrate architecture solutions across departments, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
- Project Oversight: Manage data management and architectural initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational needs, timely delivery, and adherence to budget constraints.
- Team Development: Lead and mentor a talented team of architects and engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous professional development.
- Focus on Scalability and Security: Ensure all architectural solutions are designed with scalability and security in mind, aligning with the company’s growth objectives and safeguarding its assets.
- Technology Innovation: Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential to add business value and incorporating relevant innovations into the architecture framework.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.
- Extensive experience in enterprise architecture and IT leadership.
- Strong knowledge of architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman).
- Excellent strategic planning, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proven track record of driving innovation and aligning technology initiatives with business strategies.
Experience:
- Strategic Visioning: Proven ability to develop and articulate a clear digital transformation strategy that aligns with business objectives.
- Architecture Frameworks: Extensive experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., Zachman) to guide the design and implementation of systems.
- Cloud Computing Expertise: Proficiency in cloud architecture and migration strategies, with hands-on experience in platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile and DevOps practices to foster a culture of rapid delivery and continuous improvement in technology initiatives.
- Data Management and Analytics: Experience in designing data architectures that support analytics, big data, and business intelligence initiatives.
- Change Management: Strong understanding of change management principles to effectively lead teams through transformation initiatives.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with business leaders, IT teams, and stakeholders to ensure alignment and buy-in for transformation efforts.
- User Experience (UX) Design: Experience in incorporating user-centric design principles to enhance customer and employee experiences.
Key Certifications:
- TOGAF, Zachman Framework Certification, (CISSP), Project Management Professional (PMP).
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT), ITI
