Primary Responsibilities


As a Data Analytics Specialist, you will be part of a fast-paced team that will support data analysis and visualization, process improvements, financial management, and workforce development. The Data Analytics Specialist will manage the timely reporting of milestone and dependency status, monitor risk and issues to escalate, and execute day-day-management activities. A Data Analytics Specialist:

  • Oversees research and analysis across various data sources and lead the creation of reports documenting research methods, approaches, findings, and recommendations
  • Manage the integration of data analytics, strategic thinking, and domain knowledge to create and deliver the final work product

The GPS AI & Data Engineering (AI&DE) offering is responsible for developing advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to advance and enable the key mission outcomes for our clients. Our team supports all phases of analytic work product development, from the identification of key business questions through data collection and ETL, and from performing analyses and using a wide range of statistical, machine learning, and applied mathematical techniques to deliver insights to decision-makers. Our practitioners give special attention to the interplay between data and the business processes that produce it and the decision-makers that consume insights.

Qualifications 

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required 
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future 
  • Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI) security clearance required 
  • 4+ years experience with business analytics tools including Qlik, PowerBI, and Tableau

 

Preferred: 

  • Previous Federal Consulting and/or professional services experience
  • Significant experience leading the development of advanced analytics products and applying data visualization and statistical programming tools to enterprise data in order to dance and enable key mission outcomes
  • Experience providing analytic reports to senior leadership
  • Excellent data visualization experience, especially with Tableau
  • Excellent data modeling, simulation, and forecasting background, with cyber threat detection a plus
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to solve complex problems and communicate findings to technical and non-technical leaders
  • Experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
