Information Security Consultant

Overview

FTI is hiring an Information Security consultant (ISSE/ISSO) to support the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense (OUSD) Acquisition and Sustainment (A&S) Cyber Warfare Directorate. This is an opportunity for you to advance your career and have a direct impact on the success of a high-profile DoD program with Congressional mandates for the national security of DoD systems by utilizing a cutting-edge and comprehensive assessment model provided exclusively by FTI. This position is located at our facility in Huntsville, AL and is hybrid. 

Responsibilities

• Develop systems and procedures to safeguard information systems and databases for consulting clients. Build a customer-focused relationship with clients to identify business challenges and develop specifications and requirements to arrive at the best solution
• Collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work
• Conduct security assessments and develop practical and workable security solutions based on identified gaps
• Establish requirements, standards, and procedures to minimize risk. Provide services in areas such as information security testing and evaluation, auditing, vulnerability and risk management, network security, and security implementation. May specialize in each area of information security such as mobile device and mobile application development security, forensic analysis, and/or data recovery
• Drive working sessions with clients to ensure expectations and direction are aligned and timelines are being met
• Identify additional product/service opportunities

Education/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 6+ years of experience
• IAT Level II Certification required (Security+ CE preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to present findings to high level government leaders and FTI management
• TS clearance required with eligibility for upgrade to SCI
• Has been through an ATO (Authority to Operate) process from start to finish 
• Preferred experience working with closed-restricted networks (CRNs) and/or standalone information systems (SISs)
• Preferred experience with the following technologies:
  • Windows OS(s)
  • Linux
  • VMWare
  • LogRhythm
  • ACAS
  • Network Switches and Routers
• Travel up to 25%
