Job Description:

GDIT is seeking a Cyber Security Lead to provide support for the Defense Enterprise Office Solution (DEOS) Cloud Service Offering contract.  

Selected candidate must be local to Joint Base San Antonio, TX as this is a hybrid role requiring on-site support 1 to 2 days a week.

How the Cyber Security Lead will make an impact:

  • Design and develop new systems, applications, and solutions for external customer's enterprise-wide cyber systems and networks.

  • Build IA into systems deployed to operational environments.

  • Assist architects and systems developers in the identification and implementation of appropriate information security functionality to ensure uniform application security policy and enterprise solutions.

  • Enforce the design and implementation of trusted relations among external systems and architectures.

  • Support the building of security architectures; integrate new architectural features into existing infrastructures; design cyber security architectural artifacts; provide architectural analysis of cyber security features and relates existing system to future needs and trends; embed advanced forensic tools and techniques for attack reconstruction; provide engineering recommendations and resolve integration and testing issues.

  • Assess and mitigate system security threats/risks throughout the program life cycle.

  • Contribute to the security planning, assessment, risk analysis, risk management, authorization & Accreditation and other awareness activities for system and networking operations.

  • Ensure system security needs are established and maintained for operations development, security requirements definition, security risk assessment, systems analysis, systems design, security test and evaluation, authorization and accreditation, systems hardening, vulnerability, testing and scanning, incident response, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning; and provides analytical support for security policy development and analysis.

  • May interface with external entities including law enforcement, intelligence and other government organizations and external agencies.

What you’ll need to succeed (Required):

  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 10 years’ experience required.  An additional 4 years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

  • Active Secret security clearance required.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE) required.

  • Experience with Nessus / Security Center.

  • STIG/SCAP compliance scanning and implementation experience.

  • Experience supporting Cloud service offerings.

  • Understanding of networking, subnetting, firewalls, NAT, ACL's, etc.

What you’ll need to succeed (Desired):

  • Active TS/SCI clearance.

  • DoD 8570 IAT Level III certification (CISSP).

  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, RMF, Sentinel, and eMASS.

The likely salary range for this position is $148,750 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
