Cloud Systems Security Engineer, Senior

Booz Allen is seeking a Cloud Systems Security Engineer where you will be responsible for overseeing and managing numerous on-prem and cloud security tools within a cloud environment. You’ll be responsible for evaluating the security posture of cloud, virtual and on-prem systems with SIEM tools like Splunk and Elastic.

What You’ll Work On: 

  • Develop relationships quickly and easily with other teams, communicating the complexities of security with a wide variety of audiences, including senior management. 

  • Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls, including enhanced detection and vulnerability capabilities and improved event correlation in large enterprises.  

  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas. Leverage big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience evaluating on-prem or cloud architectures for security compliance

  • 5+ years of experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, such as Splunk or Elastic

  • 5+ years of experience implementing STIGs on Cisco, Windows, Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Nutanix, or VMWare

  • Experience developing research and recommendations for correcting security vulnerability findings

  • Experience with Infrastructure automation, using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Cisco, or Nutanix

  • Experience with private networking, VPCs, security groups, tunneling, TLS, public key infrastructure, secure storage and secrets management PKI tooling

  • Knowledge of AWS services, CloudTrail auditing tools, lambda, and cross and multi-account policy enforcement

  • TS/SCI clearance

  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience working with multiple external organizations to coordinate resource access, de-conflict schedules, and manage budgets and constraints

  • Knowledge of risks at all levels, including design, system, program, mission, and strategy

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
