Position Overview:
Sr. Director of Technology TransformationSummary (Basic Purpose of the Job):The Sr. Director of Technology Transformation is a senior leadership role responsible for driving the organization's technology modernization, cloud adoption, and IT security strategy. Reporting directly to the CIO, this role fills critical gaps in strategic thinking, innovation, and execution across IT Security, Infrastructure Engineering, and Telecom/Platform modernization.
The Sr. Director will provide strategic oversight to the IT Security and IT Infrastructure Engineering Directors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, fostering collaboration, and introducing agile and innovative practices. This position will lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize telecom systems, migrate PACS platforms to the cloud, and enhance the organization’s overall IT security posture.
Minimum Requirements:Education:
· Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
· Master’s degree in IT Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
Experience:
· 10+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, with expertise in security, infrastructure, and cloud platforms.
· Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and large-scale modernization projects.
· Experience with cloud migration and telecom infrastructure modernization.
· Strong familiarity with regulatory and security frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001).
Certifications:
· Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, AWS or Azure Certified Solutions Architect, or ITIL are highly desirable.
Knowledge and Skills:
· Strategic thinking with a focus on innovation and modernization.
· Deep expertise in cloud technologies, cybersecurity, telecom, and IT infrastructure.
· Ability to mentor and elevate team members, fostering collaboration and accountability.
· Exceptional project management skills with the ability to execute complex initiatives.
· Strong communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Leadership:
· Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for technology modernization, including cloud adoption, telecom engineering, and PACS migration.
· Provide mentorship and guidance to IT Security and Infrastructure Engineering Directors, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
· Drive innovation by identifying and implementing cutting-edge technologies and processes.
IT Security Oversight:
· Oversee the IT Security Director and ensure the security department aligns with enterprise goals.
· Strengthen the organization’s security posture by enhancing identity management, vulnerability management, and incident response.
· Partner with security teams to integrate strategic GRC (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) initiatives.
Cloud and Infrastructure Modernization:
· Lead initiatives to migrate infrastructure, including PACS platforms, to cloud environments.
· Partner with the IT Infrastructure Engineering Director to adopt modern, scalable, and secure infrastructure solutions.
· Foster agile approaches to design and implement innovative technology strategies.
Telecom Engineering Leadership:
· Oversee the modernization of telecom platforms, including voice, collaboration tools, and unified communications.
· Ensure telecom systems are cloud-ready, resilient, and aligned with organizational needs.
Team Leadership and Development:
· Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within IT teams.
· Mentor IT Security and Infrastructure Engineering Directors to develop agility, strategic thinking, and leadership skills.
· Support professional development and succession planning for key leadership roles.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:
· Partner with business, clinical, and operational leaders to align technology strategies with organizational goals.
· Collaborate with external vendors and partners to ensure successful delivery of modernization projects.
· Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing regular updates on progress and strategic outcomes.
Budget and Vendor Management:
· Develop and manage budgets for security, infrastructure, and modernization programs.
· Optimize vendor relationships to ensure cost-effective and high-quality technology solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
· Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices for security and IT operations.
· Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and peer networks.
