Job Title: Journeyman Information Security Analyst

Location: Los Angeles AFB, CA - El Segundo, CA - (Hybrid)

The Journeyman Information Security Analyst will provide direct Assessment & Authorization support to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for all directorate Mission Information Systems and provide Information Security Analysis support for the secure operations of enterprise networks, systems and critical mission data. This announcement may be used to fill multiple vacancies.

Duties:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop, update, accomplish Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) entries and updates, coordinate and staff A&A packages in accordance with DoDI 8510.01 Risk Management Framework.
  • An effective communicator with the ability to host meetings virtually and in-person and brief stakeholders on status of Authority to Operate (ATO), Authority to Connect (ATC), POA&M, MOU and other processes related to Cybersecurity RMF.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Security + Certifications. *Experience may be substituted for education with customer approval.
  • 3-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent and detail-oriented organizational, interpersonal, and communications skills.
  • Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook highly desired.
  • Experience working in eMASS (Mission Systems Assessment & Authorization).
  • Xacta, Risk Management Framework, Project Management, Space Systems System Acquisition Process, Security Control Review Validation and Implementation, MS Teams, Effective Communicator, Microsoft Office Suite, POAM Reviews, ATC, ATO, coordination amongst Program Office, Contractor, and Government ISSM.
  • Must possess excellent problem-solving skills and strong communication abilities, both verbal and written for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment while being able to prioritize work to balance multiple projects and deadlines.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/SCI clearance.

Desired Experiences:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent (i.e. SANS GIAC) highly desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience performing similar job duties for USSF or another related DoD organization highly desired.
  • Familiarity with Risk Management Framework protocols highly desired.
  • Familiarity with USSF A&A procedures highly desired.
  • Advanced-level competency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook highly desired.

Other Essential Job Functions:

  • Must be willing to travel up to 10%.
  • May be required to work other than normal duty hours on occasion to meet customer schedule.
