Information Security Analyst - Secret Clearance Required.

Our work depends on an INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST joining our team to support the Navy’s Program Executive Office for Unmanned and Small Combatants’ (PEO USC) Frigate (FFG) Program (PMS 515).

At GDIT, our people are at the center of everything we do. As an INFORMATION SECURITY ANALYST, you will organize and coordinate Guided Missile Frigate Information Assurance Accreditation throughout the systems development lifecycle.  This includes coordinating with Shipbuilders, Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other stakeholders to accredit and maintain the accreditation of the networks for the FFG platform and be trusted to configure systems following Department of Defense (DoD) Certification and Accreditation (C&A) guidance and perform C&A assessments to evaluate compliance with established cyber security policies and regulations according to DoD, National Security Agency (NSA), Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and other Information Assurance (IA)-related military/federal requirements.

In this role, a typical day may include:

  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team developing, modifying, reviewing and providing input for C&A packages for accreditation and re-accreditation by assessing the validity of vulnerabilities identified during formal Government accreditation testing.

  • Design, develop, test, and evaluate information system security throughout the system(s) development lifecycle.

  • Updating documentation for system and program technical descriptions.

  • Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction

  • Attending collaboration meetings with Shipbuilders, Participating Acquisition Resource Managers (PARMs), Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Chief Information Officer (CIO) and other stakeholders as requested and providing detailed reports on what was discussed, action items, etc.

  • Providing engineering guidance based on DoD and industry Security Best Business Practices, security requirements and cyber security trends and solutions to include risk assessments and mitigations.  

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • Possess and maintain a DoD Secret clearance which will be required by the contractor in the performance of their work in order to enter classified spaces, review data and access networks

  • Meet and maintain Cybersecurity workforce (CSWF) IAT 1 qualification requirements

  • Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Common Access Card

  • Possess familiarity with DoD basic cybersecurity concepts and processes and the ability to apply these with frequent, specific guidance

  • Be able to perform successfully in routine, structured situations

  • Travel 10-25%


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical Training, Certification(s) or Degree

  • Minimum of 1+ year of experience working in a cybersecurity capacity on a DoD Program

The likely salary range for this position is $79,747 - $103,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
