SUMMARY

The Information Assurance Security Specialist (IA) determines enterprise information assurance and security standards and develops and implements information assurance/security standards and procedures. They will coordinate, develop, and evaluate security programs for an organization and recommend information assurance/security solutions to support customers' requirements. The IA is responsible for identifying, reporting, and resolving security violations while supporting customers at the highest levels in the development and implementation of doctrine and policies. They will apply know-how to government and commercial common user systems, as well as to dedicated special purpose systems requiring specialized security features and procedures. The IA performs analysis, design, and development of security features for system architectures. The IA analyzes and defines security requirements for computer systems which may include mainframes, workstations, and personal computers. They design, develop, engineer, and implement solutions that meet security requirements and provide integration and implementation of the computer system security solution. The IA performs vulnerability/risk analyses of computer systems and applications during all phases of the system development life cycle and ensures that all information systems are functional and secure.

Requirements

• Position requires ACTIVE Top Secret with SCI Security Clearance.
• Ten (10) years of experience with a High School Diploma.
• Eight (8) years of experience with an associate degree.
• Six (6) years of experience with a bachelor's degree.
• Four (4) years of experience with a master's degree.
• Must have general IT experience and experience with operating Host Based Security System (HBSS), firewalls, Intrusion Prevention Systems, Intrusion Detection Systems, other point of presences security tools, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), and related security operations.
• Must have Cyber Security experience.

Certification Requirements:

• IAT Level II Certifications including one of the following: CCNA Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, CND, SSCP; and
• CSSP Analyst1 one of the following Certifications: CEH, CFR, CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA+ Security, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, Cloud+, SCYBER
  • Applicants who do not have the required certifications must obtain them within six (6) months of starting the new position.

Tech Stack: Postgre SQL, Nessus, AWS, RDS in AWS, AWS Cloud, Containerization, Docker, Kubernetes.
