KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Install, configure, manage, and upgrade operating systems in the cloud environments, including cloud server configurations, patches, and troubleshooting
• Assist with and resolve system issues, and monitor, document, and maintain approved system infrastructure configurations and network security for operability
• Monitor and analyze capabilities and performance of the systems; compare, evaluate, and implement new technology; and integrate systems into the computing environment
• Assist with developing system security strategies, policies, and procedures, and assist the Chief Engineer in overall cloud architecture, selection of cloud technology, and strategies for improvement of service delivery
• Take directions from the Enterprise Architecture Team Lead
• Mentor and direct subordinate Cloud Services Team staff

Requirements

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in IT/Cybersecurity/Computer Science or related field (HS and 4 years of additional experience or AS and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of BA/BS)
• 9 years total experience (Relevant Master’s Degree may be exchanged for 2 years’ experience credit or a relevant PhD may be exchanged for 4 years’ experience credit)
• 5 years relevant position-specific experience
• Active DoD 8570 Level II certification
• Active AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional OR Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert OR Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect
• Active CompTIA Security+
• Active Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
• Ability to work independently and in an agile, collaborative team environment.  
• Active US Government Clearance at Secret level or higher. 
• Effective written and verbal communications skills for collaboration with both customers and fellow team members. 
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time and regularly lift at least 25 pounds.  
• Ability to commute to the designated onsite work location as required. 

DESIRED ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

• AWS or cloud certification
• Master’s degree in IT/Cybersecurity/Computer Science or related field
• Active CCSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty OR Azure Security Engineer Associate OR Google Cloud Professional Cloud Security Engineer
• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) Certifications (e.g., ITIL 4 Managing Professional or ITIL 4 Strategic Leader)
• Certified Information Systems Manager (CISM)
• DevOps Engineer Certifications.
