We are continuously growing, and we are looking for an Incident Response Security Engineer,to join our UniQue Security Engineering Services team.
As an Incident Response Security Engineer, you will play a key role in the Incident Response Team, participating in a weekly standby rotation. During your standby period, you will be tasked with incident triage, assessing security incidents, and taking appropriate action. If an incident falls within your area of expertise, you will manage the response directly; otherwise, you will escalate the issue to the relevant team (e.g., System/Cloud engineers, Network engineers).
Additionally, you will also be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our clients' critical assets. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand client needs, assess current infrastructure, and develop customized solutions in accordance with best practices and industry standards.

For the Incident Response Security Engineer, position, you will be involved in:
- Incident Response & Standby Rotation: Participate in a weekly on-call schedule, handling incident triage, evaluating security threats, and either taking appropriate action or escalating issues to the relevant engineers.
- Solution Design, Implementation, and Operations: Design, implement, and operate cybersecurity solutions to protect critical assets.
- Technical Consultation: Provide guidance to clients on cybersecurity best practices and technical solutions.
- Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements, analyze existing infrastructure, and design tailored security solutions.
- Implementation & Deployment: Assist in deploying security solutions, ensuring smooth integration with minimal operational disruption.
- Technical Documentation: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and technical documentation.
- Project Effort Estimation & Presales Activities: Provide effort estimations and contribute to technical proposals for cybersecurity projects.
- Training & Knowledge Transfer: Conduct training sessions for clients and internal teams to promote cybersecurity awareness and skill development.
Requirements
Your experience, skillset and qualifications are going to help you succeed in this position, moving forward.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Information Security, Computer Science, Engineering, IT
- Master’s degree in Cybersecurity or relative discipline will be considered a plus
- 3 years' proven experience in a Security Engineer or similar role.
- Experience in incident response and security event triage.
- Hands-on experience with security tools & technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, antivirus, encryption).
- Familiarity with network and web protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, etc.).
- Knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001).
- Certifications such as CISSP, Azure Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Azure Security Engineer Associate are a plus.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude with both internal and external business stakeholders.
- Proficient use of English language (verbal & written).
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in emerging threats or security technologies.
- Flexibility to travel abroad (mainly EU countries, 5% of the working time).
