The Opportunity:
We're seeking a Cyber Engineering Intern for Summer 2025 at our Sterling, VA location! You will help perform important reverse engineering and vulnerability research to help our material exploitation mission. You will work, both independently and as part of a team, to drive development and develop new skills. This position requires you to work 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in project researching “hardware hacking” using electromagnetic fault injection (EMFI) glitching
  • Design test harness for manipulating printed circuit board (PCB) test probe using 3D printer
  • Write software program for manual control of 3D printer
  • Meet with team members during regular “standup” meetings to discuss project progress 
  • Oversee a testing environment to methodically implement and test EMFI glitching 


 

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering/Signal Processing, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering or related field
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain applicable security clearance
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively 
  • Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g. Python, MATLAB, C, C++, etc.) 
  • Knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) for solid modeling 
  • Experience using 3D printers 



Desired:

  • Previous internship/co-op work experience
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred, not required

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$41,700 - $83,500
