Job Description

Job Summary:
The Sr. Security Engineer is responsible for providing technical and operational expertise in information
security systems, principles, and practices to ensure the protection of patient health information managed
by Intelerad’s Managed Service Offering (MSO), various public cloud environments, as well as any
corporate IT systems. As a Sr. Security Engineer, you will play a key role in the evolution of the security
architecture and solutions in support of current and new systems in both cloud-based and on-premises
solutions. The incumbent contributes to improving the security culture by providing a security perspective
on ongoing infrastructure development.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
● None
Duties/Responsibilities:
● Participates in security architecture planning for both on-premises and cloud-based solutions
● Provides expert advice to technical teams (such as Infrastructure and corporate IT) and acts as
an Information Security subject matter expert
● Conducts security threat and risk assessments on a regular basis.
● Supports the interpretation of risk assessment results
● Works with team technical teams on the assessment and prioritization of security related tasks
● Participates in the incident response team as needed
● Design, Build and Operate key security controls and platforms such as Endpoint Security, Cloud
Security, Internet and Network Security and Email Security solutions
● Leads security projects and initiatives
● Improves the adoption of security best practices across the organization
● Manages relationships with security vendor and partner

Qualifications

Required Experience/Skills:
● Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science or equivalent
● 5+ years’ experience in IT with at least 4 years with a focus on security
● Strong sense of ownership and dedication to results
● Approaches challenges as opportunities and sees every day as an opportunity to become a
little bit better

● Team player with high levels of emotional intelligence, that can work with and influence others
without direct authority
● A proactive approach to spotting problems, areas of improvement, and bottlenecks
● Ability to adapt to working with a wide array of technologies
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate technical
subjects to a broad range of stakeholders
● Attention to detail
● Exceptional problem-solving abilities
● Ability to independently manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
● Experience with security and compliance frameworks such as, ISO27001, SOC2 etc.
● Experience with Risk Assessments
● Advanced up-to-date knowledge of security products
● Advanced Knowledge in adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures
● Experience Implementing and maintaining Microsoft 365 environments
● Basic knowledge of all and expert knowledge in multiple areas:
o SIEM and Security Monitoring
o IDS/IPS & Firewalls
o Endpoint Security
o Windows and Linux Security & Hardening
o Internet & Network Security
o Cloud Security
o Email Security
o Vulnerability Management
o Python, Bash, PowerShell or other scripting language
