Senior Security Operations Engineer

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Security Operations protects Trade Republic’s most valuable asset efficiently against threats, frauds, and legal penalties, enabling the company to grow. Your responsibilities as a Senior Security Operations Engineer will include:

• Investigate, contain and remediate security incidents and ensure all security events are investigated and documented to completion
• Maintain and extend the logging pipeline and SIEM functionality to achieve monitoring objectives
• Analyze, document, and offer improvements against use cases and playbooks
• Build, integrate and maintain threat intelVulnerability Management: perform malware analysis and log enrichment solutions
• Build automated response playbooks to address incidents or security events
• Participate in an on-call rotation

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Security Engineer/Analyst or equivalent working experience
• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in the CERT, SOC or related security team
• Experience and knowledge of tools and processes of handling IT security incidents
• Technical and methodical knowledge of handling IT security tools (SIEM, firewall, EDR)
• Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS security services is a plus)
• Experience with vulnerability management, threat intelligence, and, forensic analysis
• Proficiency with scripting and automation (Bash, Ruby, and Python)
• Knowledge of legislation such as MaRisk, BAIT, ISO 27001, and GDPR is a plus
