We are looking for a motivated Junior Information Security Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role is designed for an emerging professional eager to learn and thrive in our fast-paced, startup environment. You will play a key role in supporting our Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) initiatives, security incident management, audit preparations, and various projects aimed at strengthening our security posture. Key Responsibilities:

• GRC Support: Assist with maintaining and updating Governance, Risk, and Compliance frameworks, including supporting risk assessments, audit processes, and compliance initiatives.
• Security Incident Management: Help monitor and respond to security incidents, assisting with the investigation, documentation, and resolution of issues.
• Security Documentation: Assist in the creation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and documentation to align with industry standards and organizational requirements.
• Audit Preparation: Support internal and external audits, gathering required documentation, and following up on audit findings and corrective actions.
• Security Awareness: Help implement and maintain a security awareness program, assisting in training employees and promoting security best practices across the organization.
• Compliance Reporting: Aid in preparing regular compliance reports and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for security and compliance metrics.
• Vulnerability Management: Help assess vulnerabilities using vulnerability assessment tools, identify security gaps, and assist in remediation efforts.
• Security Controls Implementation and Support: Support the Implementation of security controls across infrastructure to protect organizational assets using industry standards.
• Project Support: Support various projects related to information security, risk management, and compliance, helping to drive initiatives forward and ensure they meet deadlines and objectives.

Requirements

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Information Security, Governance, Risk, and Compliance, or related roles.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Experience integrating security processes into the a dynamic fast past startup.
• Experience with vulnerability assessment tools.
• Strong understanding of security controls, risk management principles, and vulnerability management processes.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clear and concise documentation and present findings to management.
• Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Detail-Oriented: A keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy in compliance reports, audit preparation, and risk assessments.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to think critically and work collaboratively to solve complex security and compliance challenges.
• Relevant certifications - Advantage
• Customer oriented and a "Can do" attitude.
• Experience working with external vendors and suppliers - Advantage
• Prior internship or early professional experience in IT or security-related roles is desirable - Advantage
