Our rapidly growing Digital & Information Group is expanding, and we are seeking multiple Digital Design Analysts at varying levels of expertise to join our newly established Digital Utility team. The Digital & Information group is responsible for digitally enabling Urban Utilities today while transforming our future capabilities to enhance digital services for our customers, community, and people. We drive Urban Utilities’ digital & data strategy, oversee the digital portfolio, and manage IT, OT, data, IoT, security, infrastructure, system administration, network operations, and support services.
As a Digital Design Analyst within our Digital Utility team, you will work closely with a dynamic team of professionals to support strategic decision-making, enhance operational efficiency, and drive performance improvements. Your expertise in Digital Design will help shape innovative digital services that create meaningful value for our customers, community, and people.
Role Responsibilities;
Develop new business proposals and provide advice regarding new capability requirements to support the digital transformation program.
Synthesising of complex business, financial, and technical information into clear, compelling narratives that justify the need for transformational digital programs;
Provides input into the design of a portfolio of interrelated digital products and/or services that enable key pillars of the organisation's strategic plan.
Provides input into the creation technology roadmaps that align organisational plans with emerging technology solutions
Adopts holistic view to identify and deeply analyse business problems and opportunities.
Creation of business models to communicate and provide insights about existing, conceptual or proposed business situations or scenarios.
Assessing the attractiveness of possible digital investments, program or projects.
Defining, evaluating and describing business change options for financial, technical and business feasibility, and strategic alignment.
Development of organisational capabilities for business process management and ensures adoption and adherence to policies and standards.
About you:
Education: A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Computer Science, or Data Analytics is required.
Certifications: Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, ITIL, Microsoft Foundations, or similar are highly advantageous
Experience: Proven experience in IT analysis, data analysis, reporting, and problem resolution is essential. Experience working within agile environments and a familiarity with agile methodologies would be advantageous
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills, with an emphasis on continuous improvement.
Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
Customer-Centric Approach: A strategic, customer-focused mindset with a strong drive for continuous learning and improvement.
Integrity & Authenticity: Demonstrates integrity, authenticity, and a respect for diverse perspectives in all aspects of work.
Agility & Adaptability: Comfort with change and a proactive attitude toward embracing new challenges.
Decision-Making: Strong planning, prioritisation, and decision-making abilities to achieve safe, effective outcomes.
Security Requirements: Security clearance/SOCI requirements may apply, depending on the role and responsibilities.
Performance of ‘on call’ duties are an inherent requirement of this role. This requires that the employee must be available to be on-call and to attend to work matters, both in person and remotely, outside of normal working hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, as reasonably required to fulfill the requirements of the position. The days, times, duration and frequency of on call arrangements may be subject to change, including at short notice, as required by Urban Utilities’ operational needs as applying from time to time. At all times whilst on-call, you must be fit for duty, contactable, and able to respond, including the ability to physically attend if required, to the operational needs of the business within a reasonable timeframe and in a safe manner.
