The Senior Vulnerability Management Analyst plays a crucial role in leading our vulnerability management program, ensuring the highest level of security for our IT infrastructure. As a part of the global information security team this experienced professional will develop and implement strategies for vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation, while collaborating with IT and development teams.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the identification and assessment of vulnerabilities in the organization's IT infrastructure, including networks, systems, and applications.
  • Develop and implement strategies for prioritizing and remediating identified vulnerabilities.
  • Oversee the monitoring and analysis of vulnerability scanning results to identify trends and patterns.
  • Participate in application penetration testing efforts.
  • Assist with developing, maintaining, and enforcing vulnerability management policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure remediations are documented and completed within SLA.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to IT and security teams on vulnerability management best practices.
  • Host reoccurring vulnerability management sessions with different teams in the organization.
  • Stay current with emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices.
  • Prepare and present vulnerability management reports to executive management and stakeholders.
  • Emphasizing customer experience as a central measure of success, ensuring that vulnerabilities are addressed in a manner that minimizes disruption and enhances the client's satisfaction.
  • Improve reporting maturity through automation, consolidation, and other techniques as necessary.

 

 

PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information security, or related professional experience.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in vulnerability management.
  • Strong knowledge of vulnerability assessment tools and techniques (Tenable, Qualys, Rapid7).
  • Cloud & on prim vulnerability remediation experience.
  • Working knowledge of Azure Defender and AWS security suite (GuardDuty, Security Hub).
  • Knowledge of network device configurations and standards (Firewalls, Switches, NSGs).
  • Knowledge of common operating systems MacOS and Windows OS.
  • Experience documenting and reporting remediation statistics and presenting to senior leadership.
  • Strong cross functional communication skills and the ability to work closely with internal teams & lead vulnerability remediation efforts.
  • Familiarity with common security frameworks and standards, such as NIST, CIS, and ISO.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong understanding of vulnerability scoring frameworks and business risk decision making
  • Previous experience with other security disciplines such as security operations, incident response, or regulatory compliance or audit are a plus.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, GSEC, or similar Cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
