Information System Security Officer (ISSO)
Parsons is looking for a talented Information System Security Officer (ISSO) who will perform the security functions for multiple Department of Defense (DoD) programs. The ISSO will work under the direction of the Information System Security Managers (ISSMs) to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of multiple computer systems. This is a multi-tasking environment that demands technical proficiency, customer service, communication, and organizational skill.
What You'll be Doing:
- Employ NIST 800-53 and 800-171 Risk Management Frameworks (RMF) to secure and maintain Authorization to Operate (ATO), Interim Authorization to Test (IATT), and Authority to Connect (ATC) encompassing both on-premise and cloud platforms.
- Develop and maintain System Security Plans (SSP), Security Controls Traceability Matrices (SCTM), Risk Assessment Reports (RAR), Continuous Monitoring Plans (ConMon), Security Assessment Reports (SAR), and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
- Develop and update documentation, policies, and procedures, including Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM) worksheets, system and network diagrams/descriptions, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Conduct security impact analysis activities and provide to the ISSM on all configuration management changes to the authorization boundaries.
- Participate in security incident response as necessary, including spill remediation, intrusion and malicious code detection and investigation, reporting, and mitigations to prevent re-occurrence.
- Support awareness and training objectives by leading group and individual training sessions, reviewing policies and materials, and suggesting program improvements.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Active Secret security clearance.
- DoD Directive 8140 IAM Level I or higher certification.
- BS degree in Cybersecurity/Computer Science/Engineering or other relevant field from an accredited university with minimum 2 years of experience.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
- Experience administering the system functions including security policies and account management of Microsoft Windows as well as Linux based systems.
- Microsoft Azure environment and security tool operation experience.
- Amazon Web Service environment and security tool operation experience.
- Experience with Communications Security (COMSEC).
- Experience with implementing Zero Trust capability solutions.
- Experience with Agile environments.
- Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
