What You’ll Do For Us
 

Position Overview

The Cloud Security Engineer will be responsible for design and implementation of security tools and technologies to protect our cloud resources. They will help in identifying security gaps in our cloud environment .create remediation plans for security risks, and implement risk management strategies. They will work with teams to ensure compliance with security protocols, policies, and procedures.   

Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards for public cloud environments such as AWS 

• Partake in efforts that shape the organization’s security policies and standards for use in cloud environments.  

• Work with the Cloud Operations teams in the definition and implementation of security standards and best practices. 

• Responsible for input and feedback on security architectures.  

• Responsible for the thorough documentation of implementations, via technical documentation and run-books.  

• Analyze and resolve security issues and incidents and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention.  

• Perform security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure and applications and ensure compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.  

• Research and evaluate new security technologies and trends and provide guidance and training to other engineers and developers. 

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information security, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 

Related Work Experience:

• At least 3 three years of experience in cloud security, preferably in AWS and Azure platforms. 

• Proficient in cloud security tools and services, such as AWS Security Hub, AWS GuardDuty, AWS WAF, Azure Security Center, Azure Sentinel, Azure Firewall, etc. 

Functional Skills:

• Strong knowledge of cloud security concepts, principles, and best practices, such as security by design, defense in depth, and least privilege. 

• Experience in scripting and automation, such as Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc. 

• Certifications in cloud security, such as AWS Certified Security - Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or equivalent, are preferred. 

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Skills:

Pay Range:

$115,000 - $138,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:
