The IT Manager will play a supportive role in managing and maintaining the Eku’s IT systems and tools. Working closely with the Head of IT and 3rd Party Managed service provider, this position involves assisting in day-to-day IT operations, troubleshooting IT issues, and contributing to IT The ideal candidate is a quick learner with a solid foundation in IT, a proactive problem-solver, and eager to grow their technical expertise in a collaborative environment. This role also includes developing IT documentation, supporting systems, and conducting basic training sessions for staff. It is an excellent opportunity for someone seeking to do a diverse multifaceted role in IT. In this role you will work with the Head of IT to ensure efficient and effective IT management across the business. 

Requirements

IT Systems Management 

  • Develop, implement and continuously improve IT strategy to align with global business objectives 
  • Oversee the entire IT infrastructure, including network, hardware, software, and cybersecurity measures, ensuring reliability and security across all regions. 
  • Oversee the administration and management of the Microsoft 365 estate including, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive. 
  • Oversee the deployment and management of MS Intune for device and endpoint security. 
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the infrastructure, ensuring reliability, adequate back-up / fail safe measures, minimal disruption to business operations, optimal performance and security. 
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues effectively and promptly. 
     

Systems Support  

  • Manage and maintain SharePoint sites, ensuring accessibility and efficiency. 
  • Support and manage Eku Systems ensuring data accessibility, accuracy, and security. 

Policies and Procedures Development 

  • Draft, implement, and update IT policies, procedures, and guidelines 
  • Ensure compliance with EKU standards and data protection regulations. 
  • Conduct regular reviews of IT documentation and processes to identify areas for improvement. 
     

Training and User Support 

  • Design and deliver IT training sessions to improve staff proficiency in IT tools and systems. 
  • Develop user-friendly guides and resources to facilitate learning and IT adoption. 
  • Provide hands-on technical support for escalated IT issues and other business-critical tools. 
     

IT Service Delivery and Project Support 

  • Establish, document and manage a robust IT support framework to ensure efficient resolution of issues, incidents, service requests and BCP.  
  • Act as the primary liaison with outsourced IT service providers, ensuring compliance with SLAs and driving performance improvements including internal audits.  
  • Implement a continuous feedback loop to address recurring IT issues and enhance service quality. 
  • Assist in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades, data migrations, and new tool implementations. 
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to ensure timely and successful project delivery. 
  • Track and report project progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders. 
     

Cybersecurity and Compliance 

  • Monitor security measures to protect Eku data and systems. 
  • Conduct regular cybersecurity awareness training for staff. 
     

Business Tool Support 

  • Provide support for other IT tools and systems used within the business. 
  • Collaborate with departments to understand their IT needs and recommend solutions. 

 

Governance, Risk, and Compliance: 

  • Working with the Head of IT, establish IT governance frameworks that assure the alignment of IT strategy with business goals while meeting regulatory and compliance requirement and expectations.  
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop proactive mitigation strategies related to IT initiatives and systems. 
  • Stay updated on compliance standards and industry regulations, ensuring that all IT operations adhere to best practices. 

 

Project Management Excellence: 

  • Lead both small & large-scale IT projects, managing all aspects including planning, execution, and resource management, working across the business and with any outsourced providers.  
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines. 
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation, including regular status reports and post-implementation reviews to the Head of IT and the IT Steering Committee as appropriate.

  • Technical Proficiency: 
  • Strong understanding of IT systems, including Microsoft 365, MS Intune, SharePoint etc. 
  • Competency in managing network infrastructure and resolving hardware, software, and network issues. 
  • Ability to analyse and resolve technical issues on Windows OS (Laptops) , IOS devices (iPhones), teleconference equipment and programs. 
  • Proactive in identifying and implementing technological improvements. 
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment. 
  • Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking: 
  • Proactive approach to troubleshooting and resolving IT issues efficiently. 
  • Strong analytical skills to identify gaps in processes and recommend improvements.

  • Project Management: 
  • Organisational skills to assist in planning and execute IT projects 
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders. 
  • Cybersecurity: 
  • Understanding of IT and OT cyber security risks, standards and compliance requirements 
  • Attention to detail in implementing and monitoring security measures to protect sensitive data. 
  • Ability to conduct engaging cybersecurity awareness training and promote best practices 
  • Collaboration and Adaptability: 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and understand IT needs. 
  • Flexibility to adapt to evolving business requirements and new technologies. 
  • Vendor Management  
  • Familiarity with vendor management and ensuring timely delivery of external services. 

 

Experience: 

  • 8-10 + years of experience managing IT systems, preferably with expertise in Microsoft 365, MS Intune, and SharePoint. 
  • Degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP, PRINCE2) is highly desirable. 
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues. 
  • Hands-on experience supporting and managing business tools and security. 
  • Understanding and experience with governance frameworks, compliance standards, and risk management practices (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR), drafting and maintaining IT policies, procedures, and documentation. 
  • Prior involvement in planning and executing IT projects, such as system upgrades and data migrations. 
  • Experience conducting IT training sessions and providing user support (preferred)  
  • Experience with Operational Technology power generation / battery energy storage system (BESS) / SCADA (preferred)
