Job Summary/Purpose
Serve as core member of Internal Audit Services’ SOX team. In addition to SOX responsibilities, provide independent and objective audit and advisory services.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform testing of SOX controls to assess internal controls over financial reporting and other financial aspects of the Company.
- Perform walkthrough of SOX controls in order to understand Entergy’s control environment and identify opportunities to enhance SOX controls.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance the SOX compliance program, leveraging technology and automation where possible.
- Perform internal audits and risk and controls advisory projects by effectively assessing the risk area, determining extent of testing, conducting thorough fieldwork, preparing work papers in accordance with departmental and IIA standards, identifying and documenting findings, related exposures, business risk/implications and areas of potential operational improvements.
- Provide controls advisory services for business processes and supporting systems.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum education and experience required of the position
- Auditor II: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, or related field and 2+ years of experience in auditing or accounting is required.
Minimum knowledge, skills, and abilities required of the position
- Required: knowledge of SOX compliance requirements and experience with SOX is strongly preferred.
Any certificates, licenses, etc. required of the position
- Desired: CPA, CIA, CISA, CFE, CISSP, or other professional designation.
