Job Description
As a valued contributor to our team, you will apply extensive knowledge of principles, advanced techniques, and theories while determining incident response plans, policies, and procedures for Fannie Mae, as well as coordinate internal and external stakeholders in preparation for and response to incidents.
THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
The Defense and Response - Incident Management - Advisor role will offer you the flexibility to make each day your own, while working alongside people who care so that you can deliver on the following responsibilities:
- Incident coordination: Act as a primary point of contact for coordinating all non-technical aspects of cyber security incidents including third party incidents.
- Executive reporting: Prepare and disseminate executive level reports summarizing incident details, actions taken, and recommendations for prevention.
- Stakeholder communication: Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external stakeholders to provide timely updates on incident status.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve incident management processes and procedures.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, including threat detection, threat detection engineering, insider threat, and incident response to ensure a cohesive and effective incident management strategy.
This role requires an individual to work extended hours as needed, and on-call duties outside of regular business hours.
Qualifications
THE EXPERIENCE YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
Minimum Required Experiences
- 6 years in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
Desired Experiences
- Bachelor degree or equivalent
- Security+ and/or CISSP Certification
- Architecture, infrastructure, or other service certifications (i.e. AWS certification, Azure, etc.)
- Professional coursework (i.e. Sans courses, offensive-security courses, etc.)
- Crisis Management
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with cyber security frameworks and standards
