Minimum Qualifications
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Security, Security Architecture, or Cloud Security.
  • Strong expertise in secure application design, SaaS security, and API security.
  • Experience securing cloud-native applications, serverless environments, and microservices architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD security, threat modeling, and security assessments.
  • Deep understanding of OAuth, JWT, identity federation, and authentication security.
  • Strong expertise in zero-trust security models, infrastructure security, and IAM security.
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Terraform, PowerShell, or Go).
  • Experience working with SIEM, SOAR, and security data lakes to enable security analytics.
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, adversary emulation, and detection engineering methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with securing AI/ML models, API security testing, and business logic security.
  • Hands-on experience in container security, Kubernetes hardening, and service mesh security.
  • Experience with WAF, RASP, API gateways, and cloud-native security tools.
  • Knowledge of PKI, TLS security, and cryptographic security best practices.

Career Level - IC5

Product Security & Secure Software Architecture
  • Design and implement security architectures for SaaS applications, focusing on secure-by-design principles.
  • Conduct in-depth architectural security reviews, threat modeling, and security assessments for products, services, and APIs.
  • Establish security frameworks and guardrails for development teams to integrate security into microservices, APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Define and enforce secure coding guidelines, ensuring protection against OWASP Top 10, API security risks, and business logic vulnerabilities.
  • Work with software engineers to embed security observability into applications, ensuring comprehensive logging and monitoring.
Secure Design & Proactive Risk Mitigation
  • Identify and mitigate risks in product architecture, application workflows, and third-party integrations.
  • Develop secure design patterns and blueprints for authentication, authorization, and data protection.
  • Perform business logic abuse analysis, ensuring protection against fraud, API scraping, and abuse scenarios.
  • Implement data security controls, including encryption, tokenization, and secure key management.
  • Work with compliance teams to ensure that security aligns with SOC2, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks.
Detection Engineering & Security Observability
  • Design and implement product security monitoring and detection pipelines to track threats within applications and cloud environments.
  • Develop security observability frameworks that integrate SIEM, XDR, and security telemetry pipelines for real-time threat detection.
  • Automate security logging, event correlation, and anomaly detection models to detect account compromise, API abuse, and insider threats.
  • Work on proactive security mechanisms, such as behavioral analytics, adaptive access controls, and fraud detection models.
  • Collaborate with threat intelligence and red teams to improve detection logic and attack resilience.
Security Automation & Engineering Excellence
  • Integrate security into DevOps and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated security testing, SAST, DAST, and dependency scanning.
  • Develop IaC security solutions using Terraform and Kubernetes security policies (OPA, Kyverno, Falco).
  • Automate threat modeling and security review processes, ensuring security validation at every development stage.
  • Work on security analytics and visibility, ensuring security events are captured, analyzed, and responded to in real-time.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
