The Team: The Black Duck Account Management team is dedicated to supporting the development of our strategic customers’ AppSec vision by increasing adoption and improving utilization of Black Duck technology in the enterprise. Our TAMs help some of the planet’s largest and most complex organizations successfully build secure, high-quality software faster, and derive the maximum value from their Black Duck solutions.

Key responsibilities:

• Partner with the account team to strategize, orchestrate, and execute activities tailored to each strategic customer. 

• Ensure value realization by increasing adoption, optimizing technology, managing complexity, and evangelizing best practices. 

• Be a strategic partner aligned with business priorities, helping to address capability gaps and craft executive strategies. 

• Act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on industry and technology trends, and enabling informed, better decisions. 

• Provide proactive advocacy within Black Duck, orchestrating resources and prioritizing requests. 

• Increase customer efficiency by preventing issues, resolving challenges, and helping them leverage new capabilities faster. 

• Facilitate community-building and knowledge-sharing. 

Key Requirements:

• Knowledge of application security and vulnerabilities.  

• Understanding of open-source licensing issues. 

• Software development experience with C/C++, Java, C#, or other dominant programming language. 

• Experience with Continuous Integration and DevOps tools. 

• A demonstrated technical aptitude, sharp consultative instincts, and a passion for delivering ground-breaking solutions for top-tier technology companies. 

• Rock-solid analytical skills, conceptual ability, and creativity. 

• At least 10 years in a customer-facing role. 

• The talent to work with, connect to, and influence customers to transform processes to utilize new technologies. 

• Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving, relationship-building, and project management skills. 

• The ability to travel up to 25% of the time as the job requires. 

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, engineering, or other STEM field. 

Preferred Qualifications 

• A successful track record as a technical account manager, solution architect, or sales engineer for complex AppSec, CI, or DevSecOps products and services. 

• Security certification such as CEH, CISSP, or CSSLP. 

• Experience with enterprise-scale web development technologies and microservices.

• MBA or Master’s degree in management or technical field
